Know the size of the party you’re throwing

If you plan to throw a big shindig, you need to start planning quite early, about a few months ahead. The logistics of a big party is not going to come together in an instant. You’ll have to consider the different vendors you’ll need to tap and most, if not all, need a good amount of time to prepare what you need for the party. A small to medium party, on the other hand, will need a few weeks to a month’s worth of preparation. Create your guest list as soon as possible.

Determine your budget

No matter the size of the party, you won’t be able to pull it off without the right budget. Setting a budget is a good way to keep track of all the things that you will need for the party without pasting valuable cash. A contract will also make it clear how vendors are going to be paid so there is no ambiguity when it comes to money.
