Challenge Body Shaming – Be Fearless in these Awesome Body Shapes

Challenge-Body-Shaming

Body Shaming is a crime

People keep finding faults in others. And they love doing it. Body shaming is one of the latest trends in it. It is not that shaming someone based on their body shapes was inexistent earlier.

But with the increased use of social platforms and surge of “netizens” in this world, we see body shaming is piling up to an unbearable level.

I, as a fashion follower and critic, not only look at fashion and style in the way they are but also like to put my voice out when I see unethical practices. There are many unacceptable comments, such as, “If you had a proper body, someone would have loved you.” Can you beat it?

My way to look at body shaming

“Everybody has the perfect body”, is what I keep telling my clients and followers. I tell this to myself too, as like everyone else, have one perfect body which I live in! Yes, the best place you live in is your own body and it is perfect for you!

Personally, I and many people I know have been subject to body shaming and I don’t fear it at all.

Then why do I care at all?

You love your house and you decorate it. Both you and your house deserve it. So does your body. You and your body both need pampering. If “pampering” sounds luxurious to you, so be it.

Pampering comes with comfort and beauty. You can give your body the comfort it needs and alongside give it the shell that it deserves. This is what we will discuss in the following sections.

My personal vow is that I would never care about anybody shaming that comes my way and I will decide if I would take a legal step against it.

Some sense checks first

If you ever look at a model or an actress, do you wonder how do they rock in whatever they wear? Might be because they own personal designers, or are they just born with festival outfit ideas?

Situations may vary in this case because while some fashionistas love playing with clothes, experimenting with them, exploring all sides of them, other fashion gurus just hit the clinics and get their body job done.

Fashion surely does not see our skin color or how chubby or skinny our tummy is, but the new generation continues to obsess with body types and shapes.

It all began with fashion influencers who started taking smart advantage of their body types. Not to forget, every human being is designed with a certain different kind of body and body size. However, only a few could study their bodies and develop trends and fashion styles that are now widely followed all across the world.

As we mentioned before, people have different body types but are somehow unaware of what apparel choices will help them stand out from the crowd. So, we have listed the sorts of body types that help fashionistas wisely choose their outfits.

Pear body

People with a body shape that has some abstract similarities with pear generally have thick thighs and fat in their hips. This is one of the perfect opportunities for body shaming by linking the body shape with vulgar remarks.

Just ignore them and which dress would “you” love to wear. My suggestion would be to get your dress stitched by using fabrics that are the bests! Clothes that fit the body properly can, hands down, make you look like a real-life goddess.

Just for your information, some of the famous personalities with pear body shapes are Parineeti Chopra, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, and You.

Apple body shape

I call it an apple body shape when someone has typically had round shoulders, a large bust, a small hip, and lean arms. This is a fabulous shape. Few celebrities having this kind of shape and slay the world are Geeta Kapoor, Kate Winslet, Farah khan, and so on.

In real terms, a body shape like this can show dresses really well. Some dresses look awesome when people owning this type of body simply because the dress gets enough space to spread out.

Gorgeous dresses are the perfect choice for this concept dressing. Here is my suggestion, make dresses with beautiful cambric fabric for you.

I no way want to mention if you should wear a body-hugging dress or a loose fit. It is your choice. Wear something you are really comfortable and proud of.

Hourglass body shape

Let me tell you this, women who have Hourglass body type think they look great. Hourglass body shape is considered to be one of the most attractive. But this is the route the people intending to do body shaming take.

Hence, I simply don’t care. You look awesome because of your inner beauty and not because of your body.

Some of the Bollywood actresses who also ideally own an hourglass shape have faced body shaming too.

What should you wear? While you can choose anything that you like, I personally suggest dresses which have a sporting spirit, such as, a tight T-shirt and slacks. Do wear jeans as many times as possible and don’t forget to wear a smile when you meet someone. But if you choose something else, I can share this secret black-based printed fabric with you

Straight body shape

Finally, here is the straight body shape. The straight body type is also known as the Supermodel body shape. I take that as a compliment and not as a body shaming. After all, it is my choice how I want to interpret comments.

One of my friends said, “Clothes of all types typically fit this shape”. But I disagreed. I said, in return, that “Clothes of all types fit all body shapes”.

What I suggest to people with straight body shape to wear skirts, as that will give them a carefree and dreamy look. If I had to choose, I would have put on a flowery skirt with a light base and a contrasting colour top with buttons. Choose one of these pure handloom fabrics that you can make a nice dress with.

Why did I elaborate so many body shapes?

I wanted to share my thoughts first as I was also subject to body shaming. But I consciously mention that I was NOT a victim of body shaming. Why? Simply because I empowered myself to remain strong enough so that no one can easily choose me as their victim.

This is the key message I wanted to leave you with at the end of this piece of monologue.

Do let me know what do you think. Do you think you are a victim of body shaming or are you ready to challenge any such nasty stereotype in society? I will wait for your reply.
