Diet
What we eat and what’s inside our body shows outside our body too. It can be shown in a variety of ways like gaining weight, having acne and dull looking skin, having low stamina and energy levels, an irritated and annoyed mood most of the time, etc. Therefore, a good balanced diet is necessary for all the functions and activities in the body to work well and if the body functions work well so will the body become healthy and in conclusion, your skin will be healthy too.
Processed packaged food and food which are high in trans fat and refined sugars, all lead to increase in inflammation in the body. High inflammation could cause skin conditions like acne, eczema, or psoriasis and even lead to weight gain and other digestive problems in the body.
There are some nutrients that our bodies need in low amounts called micronutrients. Even though, the need is comparatively less than carbs, protein, etc., still these are essential and crucial for the body to work well. Some of these are various antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. These nutrients include vitamin E, folate, vitamin C, zinc, calcium, iron, iodine, etc.
Hydration inside can bring hydration outside. Keep your body hydrated, as hydration is important for all the nutrients to do their work effectively.
Limit the drinking. Alcohol in moderate amounts is fine but drinking everyday could not only dry out your skin but as well could damage vital organs.
Sunlight
Sunlight itself could lead to sunburn, tanning, skin dryness and even dead skin cells. However, the most dangerous part about it is the UV light that comes along with it. The UV light is not only damaging for skin but could even lead to skin damage.
So, it is suggested by every dermatologist to make it a habit to always wear sunscreen not only when you are going outside and are directly exposed to sunlight, but also even when indoors. It is because, even though sunlight could not reach you directly, the UV light in it could get absorbed by your skin and can lead to various skin problems and even skin cancer.
Smoking
Many people start smoking just for a new try or as for fun or peer pressure, but don’t even realise when this becomes a regular habit and an addiction.
This habit however is dangerous for the body. It not only leads to lung damage but also makes your skin age earlier than it should. It causes wrinkles, fine lines and damaged skin texture and makes you look older than your age.
