After a lot of contemplation, when you finally decide the design, the next thing that bumps in your mind is the quality of the fabric. Imagine if you have a t-shirt with a super cool print yet you are not comfortable wearing it. Would you ever wear it – certainly not! Hence, we can acknowledge the fact that the quality of fabric matters a great deal, when it comes to custom t-shirt printing.

People mostly tend to opt for the cheapest option available in the range of all fabric materials. But you should remember that sometimes the cheapest is also the worst possible option. Hence, instead of just going for the cheapest option, contemplate the quality and price of different fabric materials too.

Here is a list to give you a clear picture of all the fabric materials available for your custom printed t-shirts that shall help you to take the best decision with respect to your t-shirt fabric.

100% Cotton

Cotton t-shirts have a legacy amongst all other fabric materials. You must have a couple of them in your wardrobe too. The cotton fabric is one of the most economic options that is available in the market. If you are thinking to go for the 100% cotton fabric then you don’t have to loosen up your pocket too much. In addition, this is also the best option to show off your colors perfectly. The colors that you choose for your design and text are going to pop on a 100% cotton t-shirt when compared to other fabrics.

One of the major drawbacks of the cotton fabric is that it is not very soft. In fact, it is the least soft of all the options. If you want a super comfortable fabric material for your t-shirt then don’t opt for 100% cotton t-shirts. However, this doesn’t mean that your cotton t-shirt is uncomfortable – no! Not all cotton t-shirts are the same. There really is a considerable difference between the products of one t-shirt company and the other. But that being said, there is always going to be a difference in comfort between a 100% cotton and a tri-blend t-shirt.

Polyester and cotton blends

The most demanded fabric material quality is a mixture of polyester and cotton. These are in great demand because they are relatively not too harsh on your budget. Also, they come in a little softer quality when compared to the 100% cotton t-shirts. Polyester is a material produced through a chemical process, so you would not find much polyester growing outside. At least, not one of those types that will be woven into a comfortable t-shirt.

The best part about this fabric is that it is often more water-resistant, heat resistant, and also, wrinkle and tear-resistant than 100% cotton t-shirts. You don’t have to get it ironed every time you go out. You can just wear them and head out of your house. In addition to all the good qualities, this quality material also gives you a little more stretch. So, you don’t have to worry about the wear and tear and don it at ease.

Tri-blends

As the name depicts, this fabric is a mixture of three different material qualities that are- Cotton, Polyester, and Rayon. Rayon is a manufactured material, but it is not considered as synthetic because it is made up of organic material, i.e. wood pulp. Rayon texture can give you a feel of silk, wool, linen, or cotton, just depending on the technique of manufacturing.

Tri-blend t-shirts are the best quality of t-shirts you will ever find. They are manufactured from the most comfortable and soft fabric in the world. However, it does cost a little bit more than other fabric materials but it is definitely worth the price. If you haven’t tried a tri-blend t-shirt, we highly recommend getting yourself one.

Alternative t-shirt material options

There are also other alternatives to these fabrics available in the market. However, they are more limited than the aforementioned ones. If you are looking for something different and a little out of the ordinary, then opting for these fabrics will be a good choice. Also, to make you aware, they are a little bit more expensive than the other fabrics. But if you see their unique quality and benefits, you will realize that they are worth the price. They also go well when you are heading somewhere cold or you need something to keep yourself cool during a hard-core workout session.

Bamboo

Bamboo is in great demand because of its antibacterial and moisture-wicking qualities. It helps you stay cool and keeps the temperature down when you are working out.

Viscose

Viscose is somehow similar to Rayon as it is also made from wood pulp. It also has some qualities of Bamboo such as moisture-wicking. Hence, it is also a great companion for daily workouts.

Hemp

Hemp is the best quality of fabric that you will ever find. It has a quality that no other fabric has, i.e.  absorbing massive amounts of carbon dioxide. It is good for nature and for you too as it accounts for the comfiest apparel.

The aforementioned are all the best fabric materials that are available in the market. Some are budget-friendly while some of them have unique qualities. You can choose your perfect fabric amongst all the mentioned materials. Also, always try to strike an equal balance between your budget and the quality of the desired fabric when it comes to online t-shirt printing.
