How to Fix Windows 10 Stuck In Airplane Mode {SOLVED}

Simple Ways to Fix Windows 10 Stuck in Airplane Mode Issue

Switch Off Airplane Mode 

Before we look at any other steps or methods to resolve this issue. We need to check whether the airplane mode is turned off or not. These basic things can create issues so it is better to check from the beginning before proceeding any further. 

There are many methods to check the airplane mode status. Here is how you can do it. 

Using the Hard Switch 

Many laptops come with a hard key that can turn airplane mode on and off. You can simply use the combination of keys to turn it either on or off. For example, in Dell or P laptops you can simply press the function + Print key to enable or disable airplane mode. If your PC or laptop has some other combination then you can check the manufacturer’s website for more information. 

If you are still unable to find the keys then, simply check the next two methods. 

Using Action Center

This is another way that you can use to check airplane mode status and adjust it. Here is how you can do it. Click on the dialog icon from the bottom right corner of the screen> now click on Network icon> after, this you will see the airplane mode icon, it stays colored when it’s on. 

Turn it off, if it is on, and then proceed further with your work. 

Using Settings 

You can find solutions to every problem in the settings tab easily. Here too you can use the Setting app for turning on and off airplane mode. Check the steps below to know more. 

  • Click on the Windows icon from the bottom left corner of the screen, and search for airplane mode
  • From the list, click on the first option 
  • Now in the new window, simply click on the on and off button

Turn Off Power Saving 

There can be a reason behind the airplane mode being stuck and one of the reasons can be the power-saving mode. You need to check whether it is turned on or not and if it is on then do turn it off to resolve the issue. If you don’t know how then we have shared the steps below. Using the steps you can easily turn off the power saving mode on your PC. 

  1. Press the Windows key + R key together on your keyboard to activate run utility
  2. In the run box type, devmgmt.msc and click on ‘Ok’
  3. Now click on the ‘Network Adapter’ option from the list
  4. Choose the wireless adapter which you wish to check
  5. Next, you will enter into a new window, click on the ‘Power Management’ tab 
  6. Now click on the ‘Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power’ option and then press ‘Ok’ to save settings

After you have followed the steps as mentioned, restart the computer to save the settings and see how the networks are performing. 

Enable Radio Management Service 

Here is another fix that can help you in the activation of your networks again. The reason behind the airplane mode being stuck can be the radio management service being disabled. You might know how or who did that but it can create a problem for which you need to enable it. So to do that you can simply follow the below-mentioned steps. 

  1. Activate run utility by pressing Windows and R key together 
  2. In the open box type services.msc and press enter 
  3. In the Services Windows, click on the ‘Radio Management Service’
  4. A new window will appear, in the startup type option select ‘Disabled’ and then proceed further

Flush DNS Cache

  1. Click the Windows icon from the bottom left corner of the screen and then search for command prompt or cmd
  2. Right-click on the option and select run as administrator 
  3. In the command prompt windows type as mentioned 
  • ipconfig  /flushdns
  • ipconfig  /renew
  • ipconfig  /registerdns
  1. Close the windows and restart your computer
  1. Update WiFi Drivers 

If till now you haven’t found the solution to the Windows 10 stuck in airplane mode issue then you can simply try and update Windows WiFi drivers. The easiest way to update drivers on Windows PC is by installing an automatic driver updater software.
