Triund stands for the stunning ridges beneath the mighty Dhauladhar range that carries the great charm of Himalayas. It is one of the popular destinations for all the trekkers in Mcleodganj where one passes through the beautiful Rhododendron trees and cool waters of Bhagsu waterfall. It is surely a scenic place to seek tranquility and to get immersed with the views of sunrise and sunset.
Triund is surrounded with jungle clad terrains and it can be visited during all the times throughout the year except January and February due to heavy rainfall. The best time to go for trekking would be during summers from March to May or September to December.

Kangra Fort
Kangra fort built by the royal Rajput family of Katoch dynasty is the largest and ancient fort in the Himalayas. It was built 3500 years ago and has its own significance which it holds today also. The fort was built with so immense power and it is said that the one who holds the fort holds the slopes.
It is located 20 kms from Dharamshala and it has 21 treasure wells each of which are 4 meters deep. Locals also said that the fort hides eight more wells within its walls.
The fort covers an area of 463 acres guarded by high rampant parts and massive walls of black stones. To look at the site of it is completely insightful which one must visit.
Mcleodganj
Mcleodganj is home to a large Tibetan population and the holiness of Dalai Lama resides here. It is a great place to seek meditation and yoga. It involves trekking in Dhauladhar ranges, shopping for Tibeatan artefacts and what more getting to know the culture of locals is extremely enlightening. It is the seren animated town where one can enjoy to the fullest without even spending much.
Dalai Lama Temple
Tsuglagkhang temple also known as Dalai Lama temple has large statues of Buddha, Avaloktwshwara, Pamasambhava and others. One came here to deify these deities to have a spiritual awakening. There is also a memorial monument in the temple which holds a majestic sight. One can also look out for ritual items and books that are being sold inside the complex. There is also a large hall inside the temple mainly for meditation purposes where one can seek solitude.
Tibet Museum
Tibet museum located near the 14th Dalai Lama temple comprises Tibetan architecture and was primarily built to preserve and protect the Tibetan culture. It has been a major tourist attraction which makes it a very popular place among visitors. One will see the beautiful paintings showcased on the basis of stories of lives of the Tibetan people and Tibetan artwork composed flawlessly.
Bhagsunag Temple
Bhagsu falls is another major attraction situated near Bhagsunag temple. It is quite close to Mcleodganj in Kangra area of Himachal Pradesh. It falls down from a height of 20 meters surrounded by mountains all over. And during the rains the falls look even prettier which will catch one’s attention easily.
However during winters the region is covered with snow which does not give the same charm as it gives in rains. One can also opt for trekking here which makes it favourable for trekkers.
Gallu Devi Temple
Gallu Devi temple as the name suggests holds the Goddess of Gallu Devi’s shrine and is dedicated to her in Gallo village. It is a small temple and one can offer their prayers to seek spirituality. It serves as a base camp for trekking up to Triund which is just 3 hrs from here.
Lahesh Caves
Lahesh caves set at an elevation of 3475 meters is another major attraction one sees when trekking up to Triund. It serves as the best camping experience one can ever get as it has a structure of natural rock cave. It is in the bottom of Indrahar pass that passes through the soft snow and icy streams.
St. John in the Wilderness
St. John Church nestled between thick Himalayan woods built in the wilderness is the oldest Anglican church in Dharamshala. It was built in 1852 and is full of memorial stones of those who passed away here. The church comprises two magnificent stained glass panels and a bell casted by Mears and Stainbank and brought all the way from England.
