There are four types of law-
- CRIMINAL LAW– Criminal law is a law which is design or created for particular criminal cases,cases like murder ,rape , theft, assault ,criminal law is made by union government ,the power are specified in three list the union parliament has special power to make law regarding matter specified in union list ,the state list ,the state government has special power to make law regarding matter specified in state list ,criminal laws are enforced by police.
- CIVIL LAW– Civil law is a law that is particularly designed for settling disputes between organisations ,and between peoples.it is a law of section regarding matter disputes of civils.civil cases like defamation ,right to education ,exploitation of children,divorce,trade union membership,property disputes,insurance claim,ownership issue,
- COMMON LAW– common law is a law or judge based law which is a section of law which is derived from judicial decision of court and similar tribunal,it suggests from its name that it is common to all.that is made for all.one example of common law is doctor patient confidentiality.the concept is that information regarding ,patients health,patients treatment,medical opinion ,medical record must be secret.
- STATUTORY LAW – Statutory law is a law that is designed or created by act of legislation and signed by legislative body, for state law ,a bill is created and passed by state government ,sometimes ,the state governor may refuse the cases.for example – the police man pull you over ,and you got a citation to violate the vehicle law as well as traffic law ,the law you break is a statutory law..
